I am a visually impaired woman and this is very obvious to the public. I have been pushed out the way when boarding busses and on tube train platforms. I have been deliberately tripped up and at the same time pushed forwards in a corridor. I have been punched in the stomach and spat at. I have had objects thrown at me from an upstairs window of a house as I walked along the street outside. At the time these incidents made me feel upset, afraid and alone. After receiving help, I have regained my confidence in going out alone.
