I’m a woman who has undergone multiple surgeries on my legs. One of the largest surgeries I’ve had involved holes being drilled into my tibia, the holes are still there and the scars make little craters in my shin. I have many scars on my legs and I’m so freaked out by people touching them. I was at the gynecologist one day and with my feet in the stirrups he touched my shin craters and plugged them with his fingers. I explained it to people by saying it was like he was playing a flute the way he placed his fingers. I said nothing and remained quiet during my exam. He did it at the next visit and now every time I have an appointment I brace myself for it and rehearse what to say to ask him to stop.
